The Bee Hive is designed to accommodate 3-5 year olds and helps to prepare the children for reception. The welcoming room has its own toilets and direct access onto the spacious, secure garden.
The staff offer a wide range of exciting, stimulating activities in a lightly structured way that helps children to prepare for a school environment. Such activities include challenging maths, science, knowledge and understanding of the world and creative activities. Children also take part in small group work with a staff member. These include writing and reading skills.
The staff encourage all children to brush their teeth after morning and afternoon snack time. Children sit in small groups with a member of staff who demonstrates the brushing routine.
Staff often take the children out into the surrounding fields to explore the local wildlife such as birds, rabbits and squirrels.
During quieter times the staff will take children to Rother Valley Country Park.
If you have applied for a place at Beighton Infant School , the School staff will visit your child here, shortly before your child is due to move. If your child has been offered a place at Beighton School Nursery, you can also opt for our wrap around shared care service if you would like your child to attend both nurseries.

All children attending the Centre will be offered a morning and afternoon nutritious snack and a drink of milk or water. A donation of 30p per session is requested towards the cost of snacks and can be paid into the moneybox in your child’s room. Snack can be blended for babies. Nursery meals can also be purchased.

Security is paramount at our Nursery. We have 24 hour CCTV in operation as well as an intercom entry system. We also have a password identity checking system in place for non-regular collectors.
