Sensory Room

Our sensory room offers a cosy, calming space for all age groups. The separate room has been specially designed which combines a range of stimulated equipment to help individuals develop and engage their senses. These include lights, colours, sounds, sensory soft play and resources, all used within a safe environment that allows children using it to explore and interact without risk. The therapeutic space helps children to learn and explore whilst surrounded by a  calming environment.
Our sensory room is particularly beneficial for children with autism, additional sensory needs or other learning difficulties. 
Our sensory room is a place to relax, destress and diffuse anxieties which some children may experience during their day at nursery. 
Staff either take individuals or small groups of children into the room at a time and help them to explore our wide range of equipment.

Frequently asked questions

There are no hidden costs for different age ranges or for any chosen booking times. Children are eligible for up to 15 hours free grant funded sessions during term time, from the term after their 3rd birthday. All children attending the Centre will be offered a morning and afternoon nutritious snack and a drink of milk or water. A donation of 30p per session is requested towards the cost of snacks and can be paid into the moneybox in your child’s room. Snack can be blended for babies. Nursery meals can also be purchased.

Security is paramount at our Nursery. We have 24 hour CCTV in operation as well as an intercom entry system. We also have a password identity checking system in place for non-regular collectors.
